1. Who We Are And When These Terms Apply

gridlo is operated by BreadRolls Group Ltd, trading as gridlo. BreadRolls Group Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17108384. In these terms, gridlo, we, us, and our mean the operator of the Service.

By creating an account, opening the home screen, playing a puzzle, creating or sharing content, joining a match, buying credits, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Where the app shows a first-use or updated-terms acceptance prompt, you must accept the current terms before playing or using play-related features.

2. Eligibility And Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You must provide accurate account, age-gate, purchase, and profile information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details, device, and app session secure.
• You must not create an account for someone else, impersonate anyone, evade a ban, sell or transfer your account, or use a username, profile, club, puzzle, or message that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or otherwise prohibited by these terms.

3. Puzzle Content And Entertainment Use

gridlo puzzle content is for entertainment and general-interest gameplay. It is not professional advice and must not be relied on for legal, medical, financial, safety, emergency, educational, or other serious decisions.

Puzzle content can include official content, curated content, AI-assisted content, user-created content, and content shared directly or publicly by other players. Clues, answers, themes, messages, club information, usernames, and other puzzle-related content may be wrong, incomplete, out of date, duplicated, culturally specific, ambiguous, biased, inappropriate, offensive, upsetting, or unsuitable for some players.

4. AI-Assisted Content

Some gridlo features use AI-assisted puzzle generation, rewriting, or moderation, including OpenAI-backed routes that can process submitted themes, clue instructions, relevant puzzle words, clues, and moderation content parts for that request.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, repetitive, offensive, similar to output generated for other users, or unsuitable for publication. Do not submit confidential information, private information, special-category personal data, personal data about other people, secrets, credentials, payment information, or content you do not have the right to use.

5. User Content

User content means anything you create, submit, upload, publish, share, send, or otherwise make available through the Service, including usernames, profile information, club names and bios, puzzle titles, descriptions, tags, words, clues, answers, puzzle grids, drafts, direct messages, reports, feedback, and support requests.

You are responsible for your user content and for making sure you have all rights and permissions needed to submit it. You keep any ownership rights you have in your user content. You give gridlo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, process, adapt, format, translate, publish, display, perform, distribute, make available, moderate, remove, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your user content as needed to operate, secure, improve, promote, and provide the Service.

6. Prohibited Content And Conduct

• Illegal content or conduct, including content that promotes crime, fraud, exploitation, abuse, or unlawful goods or services.
• Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, grooming, sexual content involving minors, or any attempt to contact or target minors in an unsafe way.
• Hate, harassment, bullying, threats, incitement, dehumanising content, slurs, or abuse targeting protected characteristics or vulnerable people.
• Graphic violence, self-harm encouragement, suicide instructions, eating-disorder encouragement, terrorist or extremist content, or instructions for serious physical harm.
• Sexually explicit content, pornographic content, sexual solicitation, or content primarily designed to shock, humiliate, or degrade another person.
• Private personal data, doxxing, non-consensual intimate content, confidential information, credentials, payment data, secrets, or special-category personal data.
• Defamatory, deceptive, impersonating, misleading, spammy, scam, phishing, malware, bot, or manipulation activity.
• Copyright, trademark, database-right, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual-property infringement.
• Cheating, exploiting bugs, manipulating leaderboards, abusing credits or rewards, evading rate limits, scraping, reverse engineering, bypassing security, or interfering with the Service.
• Attempts to avoid moderation, reporting, blocking, age-gating, account restrictions, app-store rules, or these terms.

7. Moderation, Reports, And Enforcement

We use moderation steps such as validation rules, blocked-word checks, automated classification, rate limits, reporting tools, blocking tools, support review, account controls, and removal or restriction workflows. These controls are intended to reduce risk, not to guarantee that every harmful, offensive, unlawful, or inaccurate item is prevented or removed immediately.

We may remove, hide, restrict, edit, label, disable sharing for, refuse to publish, or reduce visibility of content. We may warn, rate-limit, suspend, terminate, or block accounts or devices. We may preserve records, investigate, cooperate with app stores, service providers, regulators, or law enforcement, and report serious safety issues where appropriate or legally required.

8. Public, Social, And Shared Features

Your public profile fields, rankings, puzzle activity, club activity, creator attribution, leaderboard entries, public clubs, public puzzles, app-feed events, and other public surfaces can be visible to signed-in users or anonymous viewers depending on the feature.

Direct messages, private puzzle shares, match invites, and private social features are intended for the relevant participants, but they are not a place for confidential information. Other players can screenshot, record, copy, quote, or reshare content that they can see.

9. Purchases, Credits, Rewards, And Subscriptions

• Credits, rewards, subscriptions, and entitlements are digital app features. They have no cash value, are not banked money, are not interest-bearing, and cannot be sold, exchanged for cash, transferred, or used outside the Service unless we expressly say otherwise.
• Purchases are processed by the applicable app store and purchase providers. Store terms, payment rules, cancellation rules, taxes, and refund processes also apply.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew until cancelled. Subscription title, duration, price, and renewal information are shown in the app purchase flow and in the store purchase sheet before confirmation.
• Deleting a gridlo account, uninstalling the app, or losing access to a device does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription or create an app-store refund.
• You can manage or cancel active subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account subscription settings.
• We may correct balances, reverse mistaken grants, reject abusive reward claims, change future pricing or rewards, suspend purchases, and require app updates where needed to operate the credit system or comply with store rules.
• Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to purchases in your country.

10. Data Handling And Privacy

The Privacy policy is part of these terms and explains how gridlo handles account, gameplay, purchase, notification, support, moderation, diagnostics, local device, and AI request data. You should read it before using the Service.

11. Availability, Changes, And Updates

The Service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may be changed, limited, suspended, removed, made unavailable, or require an app update. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, exact puzzle inventory, permanent storage, error-free gameplay, or continued support for any particular device, operating system, feature, puzzle, club, leaderboard, tournament, or match.

12. gridlo Intellectual Property

The Service, including the app design, code, branding, logos, artwork, UI, game systems, generated inventory, backend systems, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by gridlo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws.

You may use the Service only as allowed by these terms and the app stores. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, build a competing service from, or interfere with the Service except where applicable law gives you a non-excludable right to do so.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided as is and as available, without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Nothing in these terms affects mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded, including any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Subject to mandatory law, gridlo's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to gridlo through the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or GBP 50.

15. Your Responsibility To Us

You are responsible for your use of the Service, your user content, your breach of these terms, and your violation of another person's rights or applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse and protect gridlo from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your user content, misuse of the Service, breach of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

16. Ending Or Restricting Use

You can stop using the Service at any time. Signed-in users can delete their account from the app, subject to the Privacy policy, purchase-provider records, moderation records, legal obligations, backups, and technical limitations.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a breach of these terms, legal risk, safety risk, fraud, abuse, app-store requirement, security issue, operational issue, or need to protect other players or the Service.

17. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the policy version and last-updated date when we do. If a change is material, we may require you to accept the updated terms before continuing to play or use affected features.

18. Governing Law, Disputes, And Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except that mandatory consumer protection laws in your country may also apply where they cannot be excluded. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.
